Our Call Center is staffed by caring volunteers
Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30.
The call center receives about 1600 calls annually, impacting more than 6,000 people. Our volunteers take calls from people seeking help in numerous areas; i.e., utilities, rent, mortgage, medical needs, food, clothing, evictions, veteransassistance, etc. Using our knowledge of the data base of churches, non-profit agencies and other providers in Clay County, callers are given the names and phone numbers of resources they can turn to for help. Case managers are assigned to callers with complex needs. The call center has been operational since February 2012.
Below is an overview of what you can expect when calling us:
- Spoken to with dignity, respect, empathy, encouragement, hopefulness and assistance with a solution
- Coaching in a one-on-one environment until self-sufficiency is achieved
- Answer questions about different services available in the area based upon the need
- Help with facilitation of coordinating services through non-profit connections
