October 19 Event Benefits Families in Crisis
Mercy Support Services is hosting its annual fundraising Gala on Thursday, October 19 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Thrasher-Horne Conference Center in Orange Park, FL. This year’s gala features John Thrasher, President of Florida State University, as the Keynote Speaker, as well as Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels, who chairs the 2017 Annual Fund Campaign for Mercy.
Featuring a Mediterranean Food Festival theme, the event will also include inspirational testimonies from individuals who have benefitted from Mercy’s assistance, a live auction and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event benefit Mercy Support Services.
Mercy Support Services helps families in Clay County who find themselves in need, often through no fault of their own. Mercy Support Services collaborates with other like-minded organizations to address the existing problems of our “invisible neighbors,” and help them prevent future problems from occurring.
The event begins with a reception and silent auction at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by a Live Auction. Dress is business casual.

Mercy Support Services is a non-profit agency that assists families experiencing financial difficulties and helping them to achieve self-sufficiency. Mercy coordinates with many other non-profit agencies in the region to assist those in need and reduce duplication of services. Through the call center, Mercy responds to more than 200 requests for financial and housing assistance every month.
