2019 Jack Myers Champions for Mercy Golf Tournament A Huge Success

The 2nd Annual Jack Myers Golf Tournament was a huge success. The event was held again this year at Eagle Harbor Golf Club.  Nearly 140 golfers hit the links with a 1pm shotgun start. This year’s event significantly surpassed the inaugural year in number of golfers and dollars raised.

The golf tournament was segmented in to (2) flights through identifying a mystery nine holes to promote another level of winners.

The Vallencourt Team took first place, with Action Roofing coming in at second place.

Several contest were held including: Hole-in-One on all par 3’s, Closest to the pin and two par 3’s, Longest Drive, Longest Putt, Goofy Photo, and Happy Gilmore Putting Contest (utilizing a variety of choices including tennis racket, lacrosse stick, hockey stick, baseball bat and railroad spike hammer).

Our 2nd annual event success was due to the support given by our event sponsors, product donors, volunteers and golf participants.  Special recognition to our Golf Committee:  Jim Dion, Allen Berry, Jon Cantrell, Brett Kirkland, Steve Conrad Melanie Pitts, Sophie Dentiste, Patrick Hayle and Jeff Boyer.

Proceeds from the Golf Tournament will support Mercy’s programs for displaced families and children in Clay County.
