HEART FOR MERCY EXPERIENCE CHALLENGE

Mission: Empowering people in need for a sustainable, independent future!

The need grows daily!

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18.

What is Heart for Mercy Experience Challenge?

This is a summer (July 1-July 31) Peer to Peer Fundraiser to help us raise essential funds during our summer months. We are asking our supporters to have fun experiences (see Events Worth Hosting tab below) while sharing Mercy's story and soliciting donations for us!

With your help with this challenge, you will be blessing us by

  • helping get the word out about Mercy,
  • helping us raise much needed funds during the summer, (summer is when our donations are the lowest)
  • helping bless our small staff by helping in ways we can’t by our limited manpower

Mercy Support Services has been committed to helping Clay County residents and families that are a point of hopelessness and crisis for over 10 years. We have seen over DOUBLE the call that have come in for assistance from so many with requests for rent, food, gas and much more. All of this having a snowball effect on basic needs.

37% FAMILIES IN CLAY COUNTY ARE IN POVERTY OR CAN’T MAKE ENDS MEET, BUT YOU CAN HELP US CHANGE LIVES!

With the money YOU raise, we fund our UNIQUE self-sufficiency programs for youth and families in crisis, our partnership with the Housing and Finance Authority and our Resource Call Center.

Since Mercy’s inception, we have graduated over 100 families from our Self-Sufficiency Programs; assisted more than 175 families with Rapid Rehousing and Eviction Prevention; and received over 18,000 calls assisting more than 39,000 people in Clay County.
