The Meaning of the Mercy Logo

By Kim Deppe | February 10, 2020

Did you ever wonder what the design of the Mercy Support Services logo represents? Like most logos, ours has several meanings baked into the design that represent who we are, what we do, and who we serve.

The overall message of the Mercy logo is that helping people in crisis become self-sufficient is far too great for just one organization.

The trunk and branches of the tree represent the core-strength of the organizations that collaborate together with the common goal of bringing people in crisis to self sufficiency.

The smaller branches represent those who are receiving assistance. They are being held up by the collective strength of a large network of compassionate hearts. Their productive, thriving lives are the fruits of the Mercy mission.

The roots represent stability, self-sufficiency, and sustainability. A solid foundation. They are constantly drawing nourishment from resources, services and employment to keep the tree strong and growing.

The  logo portrays a well- connected, integrated community that helps its members live in a proactive, well-informed environment that stands strong in crisis.  The logo reflects Mercy’s mission statement.
